Workshop Volunteer

Poetry in Wood

The role of workshop volunteer is to support the workshop tutor and help people with learning disability with their design projects. We also welcome volunteers to help on our Wednesday market days at Old Spitalfields Market.

Detailed Description

Poetry in Wood teaches art, design and woodwork skills to people with learning disabilities in our workshops in Spitalfields, London. We run an NVQ accredited training course in one workshop and the graduates of this course can move into the Design Studio where we work on murals, signage and unique gifts. We also have stall every Wednesday generously donated by Old Spitalfields Market where we sell our work and meet the local community. We are a charity and we welcome volunteers and appreciate their input.

Time Commitment

We are open Mondays through Thursdays from 10am till 4pm. We respect volunteers other commitments and can work around them.
