Social Media & Communications Volunteer
Hackney Caribbean Elderly Organisation
HCEO is a small, vibrant organisation and we need help to raise our profile and reach amongst a whole range of stakeholders, from the general public and potential funders to social prescribers & GPs. So, if you have experience in producing engaging content for social media platforms, promoting events, updating websites or identifying new ways of connecting with audiences and are looking for an opportunity to make a difference to the lives of older people, then please get in touch!
HCEO is a small charity supporting older people in Hackney via our lunch club and a whole variety of weekly activities which take place at our vibrant and welcoming Centre in Stoke Newington and via outreach work in the local community with advocacy, advice and befriending projects. Despite the large number of older people who we already help, we know that there are so many more who need assistance, particularly after the pandemic, which is why we are looking for volunteers with experience in communications, marketing and social media to help us raise our profile and reach amongst a whole range of stakeholders, including the general public, social prescribers, GPs and potential funders. So, if you have experience in producing engaging content for social media platforms, promoting events, updating websites or identifying new ways of connecting with audiences and are looking for an opportunity to make a difference to the lives of older people, then please do get in touch! By taking on this role you will be helping us to spread the word about our work and impact in the local community and supporting us to grow and help even more older people within Hackney and beyond.
