Working with your fellow trustees and IT volunteers you will advise on how the charity can make effective use of technology in our work and advise on how we should manage the risks.

We are in the process of migrating to a Microsoft 365 shared system for document storage and collaboration. The IT trustee role will principally be to: • Maintain an overview of the Society’s needs for IT systems. • Advise on management of the Society’s IT risks • Assist in selecting IT systems, reviewing contractual terms, and putting in place plans for systems implementation • Manage the IT volunteers (webmaster and membership database manager) and liaise with the social media manager as appropriate • Keep the IT trustee role description under review to ensure that it is appropriate and meets the objective of assisting the Society to make effective use of technology in our work • Assist in the general running of the Society.
