(Remote and in person Working Hours Meets virtually Every Saturday at 11:30m to 12:30pm
-Provide advice to clients who are experiencing money problems -Equip people with the right knowledge and skills to manage their personal finances -Complete the debt advice process with clients by providing advice and casework on a range of debt solutions and strategies -Provide advice and casework on welfare benefits including benefit checks and helping with initial claims, mandatory reconsiderations and appeals -Continue to develop knowledge of welfare benefits and money advice to meet the needs of the service Take feedback from a variety of stakeholders and contribute to innovative changes

- Capable, calm (tolerant/patient) and thorough - Good organisational skills - Ability to dedicate a minimum of 4 hours per week - Ability to commit a minimum of three months (ideally longer) - Sense of humour and perspective - Ability to encourage and support children and vulnerable adults - Ability to communicate effectively - Able to work as part of a small diverse team - Ability to maintain confidentiality - A willingness to learn and show initiative - Some roles may require a DBS check which SCH will carry out on your behalf
