We are looking for Rainbow, Brownie. Guides and Rangers leaders/volunteers across a few of our units to join their unit's leadership team. Also the opportunity to put something back by helping, encouraging and promoting young people today. The role will demand time and energy, but it is also very rewarding and great fun. Willing to get involved with what is happening at the meeting. No qualifications needed, just plenty of energy, enthusiasm, patience, understanding of the age range and a sense of humour. Training for the recognised adult leadership qualification is done on the job. We work together in teams and support each other in work and play, help is never far away when needed. No interviews, just an informal meeting and you will be required to provide two referees and complete a Criminal Records Bureau application as well as Safeguarding training
Not only is volunteering really rewarding, it can even reduce stress and improve your mood! Make new friends for life and help girls near you discover their potential; whilst having fun and taking part in new experiences.
It depends on what role, but in general weekly meetings are 1.5-2 hours long; and then we have weekend trips and holidays/camps.
