The purpose of this role is to lead on organising and launching new and exciting fundraising and engagement events for the charity.
The purpose of this role is to lead on organising and launching new and exciting fundraising and engagement events for the charity. With the support of the Community and Corporate Lead, and the wider Communications Team, you will be critical in creating, planning and implementing events, which will raise important funding for the charity as well as spreading awareness of its work in the local community. Main Tasks Work alongside the Communications and Fundraising Team to establish ideas, event goals and objectives. Present new events to the Management Team for approval Lead on planning and organising local events with the support of the wider team, this may include budgeting, recruiting volunteers, finding locations, securing sponsors, etc. Work with the wider team to see the events through from start to finish, this may require some evening or weekend work Undertake induction training and follow all BBB guidelines and policies

Prior experiene in events, planning and management desireable An understanding of the rules and regulations, health and safety procedures, etc, involved in implementing large public events, or willingness to learn Enthusiastic, enjoys engaging with the public, with a positive outlook Good communications skills Organised and driven to see ideas come to fruition Able to use initiative and work independently Commitment to BBB's aims and the longer-term value to the community of supporting parents living in poverty.
Volunteers receive training on a range of topics relating to their role, including safeguarding (the safeguarding training, delivered online, must be undertaken during the induction period). Support is offered by the Management Team. All new starters will undergo induction training from the Management Team and will have access to a team bbb facebook group with contact details of all volunteers. Travel expenses, and all out-of-pocket expenses, are reimbursed. While volunteering with BBB, volunteers have full liability insurance cover. BBB hold annual appreciation events to recognise the important contribution that volunteers make, as well as regular volunteer forums to share knowledge and best practice.
