Detailed Description

A volunteer can make a real impact in the community as an Operations Development Manager with Construction and Engineering Opportunities (CEO). He/she will help support young people and vulnerable learners, shape practical training programmes, and use your skills to create positive change in Croydon. We are seeking a capable and organised volunteer to provide on-site operational support for approximately 2 days per week. This role is focused on strengthening day-to-day operational systems and supporting implementation of established processes within the organisation. The volunteer will work closely with the Director on site, while contributing to the smooth coordination of internal systems. This position will help ensure strong operational implementation of our quality and compliance at site level. It is a practical, systems-focused, operational support role. Key Responsibilities - Supporting the implementation of administrative systems on site - Assisting with organisation of digital and paper filing systems - Supporting operational workflow and coordination - Ensuring documentation processes are followed consistently - Helping maintain organised safeguarding and compliance records (in line with existing frameworks) - Supporting structured preparation for growth, including potential onboarding of future staff or apprentices

We are looking for an experienced, dependable volunteer who is committed to supporting community education and development. - Experience in operations or administration - Strong organisational and practical systems skills - Ability to work independently on site - Professional discretion and understanding of confidentiality - Comfortable working within a small but structured team - An understanding of safeguarding and health & safety (training provided where needed) - A genuine commitment to supporting young people and vulnerable groups - Experience in education or community settings would be advantageous.
