Volunteer Coordinator

Volunteers are at the heart of Norwood JunKAction. As our Volunteer Coordinator, you will help create a welcoming, organised and inclusive experience for everyone who joins us. From responding to new enquiries to supporting people as they become part of the project, you'll play a key role in helping volunteers feel valued, confident and connected while strengthening our growing community.

Detailed Description

Volunteers are at the heart of Norwood JunKAction. As our Volunteer Coordinator, you will help create a welcoming, organised and inclusive experience for everyone who joins us. From responding to new enquiries to supporting people as they become part of the project, you'll play a key role in helping volunteers feel valued, confident and connected while strengthening our growing community. Responsibilities • Respond to enquiries from people interested in volunteering with Norwood JunKAction. • Welcome new volunteers and introduce them to the project. • Help volunteers identify how they would like to contribute based on their skills, interests, availability and confidence. • Keep records of volunteer enquiries and participation. • Stay in touch with volunteers before and after activities. • Support volunteers during community events where needed. • Help build an inclusive, supportive and enjoyable volunteering experience. • Encourage volunteers to contribute their own ideas and take ownership of projects. • Collect feedback, stories and suggestions to help improve the volunteer experience.
