The Charity Engagement Officer will help SME LOCAL CIC build and maintain meaningful relationships with charities and community organisations. The role will involve identifying potential partners, supporting engagement activities, promoting collaboration, and helping to create opportunities that benefit local communities and the people they serve. Key Responsibilities • Identify and research charities, voluntary organisations, community groups, and social enterprises that may benefit from working with SME LOCAL CIC. • Make initial contact with potential charity and community partners. • Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with partner organisations. • Support regular communication with charities and community organisations. • Identify opportunities for collaboration, joint initiatives, events, campaigns, and community projects. • Help connect charities with relevant businesses, volunteers, supporters, and other organisations. • Support the planning and delivery of charity and community engagement activities. • Assist with networking events, community initiatives, fundraising activities, workshops, and awareness campaigns where appropriate. • Help promote SME LOCAL CIC's charity engagement activities through appropriate communication channels. • Maintain accurate records of contacts, conversations, meetings, and engagement activity. • Provide updates on progress, opportunities, and challenges. • Gather feedback from charities and community partners. • Contribute ideas for improving SME LOCAL CIC's engagement and partnership approach.
