Cards for Kindness Volunteer/Driver

Embracing Age

Through our Cards of Kindness project we send regular hand made cards to residents who are feeling isolated to help combat loneliness and bring joy and community connection. Every card makes a big difference.

Detailed Description

You can choose one or more of the role activities: 1. Creating hand made cards monthly at home or in a group. 2. Writing short messages or poems inside the cards. 3. Delivering cards to a designated nearby care home* (This role requires the volunteer to complete an application form and provide details of 2 referees who we can contact for references.)

Art & Craft, Basic IT skills - internet & email, Reading & Writing, UK Driving Licence

Why these skills are required

Enjoy making arts and crafts and being creative Or, enjoy getting out in your community and you'd like to make a difference by delivering finished cards to a designated nearby care home - a great way to get involved if you're not so keen on making cards. Be reliable and trustworthy and be well organised
