Volunteer Community Hub Befriender

We are looking for volunteers who can provide social support and relief from isolation for participants visiting the Mortlake Community Hub. The Mortlake Community Hub runs on a weekly basis and offers simple lunch and an opportunity for the local community to gather and socialise. The ideal volunteer would enjoy getting to know people, have good listening skills and the ability to engage in conversation.
Key Responsibilities Assist in setting up and packing away the Mortlake Community Hub. Support lead volunteers in providing drinks and food. Slice and display cakes, biscuits, cheeses, and fruit as needed. Welcome users and offer them a seat and refreshments. Introduce users to the Mortlake Community Hub and its services. Encourage users to interact with others and meet workers from various agencies. Assist in tidying up Mortlake Hall after lunch. Ensure a clean and organised environment for all users.
