Spring Community Hub

Volunteer referral team (Spanish and/or English speaking)

Detailed Description

-First point of contact for guests and referral agencies - Liaise with referral agencies and partners, assess guest’s needs, identify the most appropriate programme for those referred to the food bank team - Work closely with hub manager and food bank team - Review and monitor guest progress, identify changes in circumstances, develop action plans and signpost for further support internally or externally - A DBS check will be required

Capable, calm (tolerant/patient) and thorough - Good organisational skills - Ability to dedicate a minimum of 4 hours per week - Ability to commit a minimum of three months (ideally longer) - Sense of humour and perspective - Ability to encourage and support children and vulnerable adults - Ability to communicate effectively - Able to work as part of a small diverse team - Ability to maintain confidentiality - A willingness to learn and show initiative - Some roles may require a DBS check which SCH will carry out on your behalf
