Support the safe and welcoming delivery of the Windrush Heritage Community Family Day. Volunteer Stewards assist with crowd guidance, entry support, safeguarding awareness, and reporting concerns while working under the Event Management and Security teams.
Volunteer Stewards will support the safe and welcoming delivery of the festival under the supervision of the Event Management and Security teams. Duties include entry support, crowd guidance, safeguarding awareness, signposting to facilities, queue management, monitoring of public areas, and reporting any concerns to supervisors. This is a high-visibility, community-facing role that contributes directly to public safety and the smooth running of the event.

Volunteers should be friendly, approachable and confident when engaging with the public, calm under pressure, and able to follow instructions.

20th June 2026, 11:00am – 6:00pm. A full on-site briefing will be delivered on event day. Volunteers must also be able to attend a pre‑event briefing/training session.
