NCT Beckenham is a thriving team running lots of accessible welcoming services to support new parents. NCT Community Builders are at the heart of our local volunteer teams, helping volunteers stay connected, and growing our reach to help even more new and expectant parents in the area. We want to develop services that parents want and need, for every parent in your community. In this role you will know what is needed and help us build the team to deliver it.
What’s involved? Talking to people in the local community to understand what parents need Encouraging local people to get involved and volunteer to support parents Build a strong and inclusive community of parents following NCT guidance and best practice Promoting and publicising local NCT events Keeping in touch with local volunteers Using social media to engage and support local parents Celebrating the difference volunteers make to local parents Championing NCT's values and vision You will receive lots of support and a handover and induction to the role. This is a great opportunity for someone who is outgoing and strategic to develop relationships and grow NCT's activities in the area. You will gain evidence of skills and experience in networking, team work, marketing, social media, great for your CV and making new connections, as part of a friendly and passionate team.

Time commitment: This is a flexible role that can fit around your other commitments and availability We ask that you can commit to 3 hours per week and that you can ideally volunteer for at least 6 months You will be invited to attend a monthly catch up with the Volunteering Team for training and support. These will usually be online in the evening and will be supported by closed captioning
