We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help at the London Marathon on the 26/04/2026 to make our cheer point one of the loudest and most uplifting on the route and to make all runners feel celebrated.
We've got an exciting opportunity at the London Marathon 2026 on Sunday 26th April! We've got 3 cheer points this year, including an Official Charity Cheer point and we'd love for you to join us at one of them. We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make our cheer point one of the loudest and most uplifting on the route and to make all runners feel celebrated. Here’s what you can expect at our Official Charity Cheer Point: A guaranteed, barriered space to support and celebrate participants Nearby toilet facilities, including an accessible toilet A DJ Truck to bring the vibes A prime location on Poplar High Street, around mile 20 (What3Words: spice.issue.traded) We expect the cheer station to run from 10:30am to 3:30pm and volunteers are welcome to join for 1-2 hours or longer if you wish. The other cheer points at Westferry and Crossharbour won't have a DJ but will have plenty of cowbells, flags and Blood Cancer UK staff and volunteers cheering on our runners. Join the action and help create an unforgettable day for Blood Cancer UK runners. As a Cheer Point Volunteer, you’ll boost morale, spread positivity, and energise the crowd as runners tackle an incredible challenge. Note: This role involves standing for a few hours, and seating isn’t available.

You will get to be part of a wonderful team of volunteers and your contributions will help our runners to cross the finish-line and raise vital funds for blood cancer research and support.
