Detailed Description

Title: Saturday Club Volunteer Location: Hampton Youth Club, London Borough of Richmond and Kingston Responsible To: Saturday Club Lead Responsible For: Saturday Club General Duties Expenses: Reasonable expenses will be reimbursed subject to the completion of an Expense Claim Form submitted on a monthly basis for payment. Aims and Objectives To provide help and assistance to Crossroads Care Saturday Club Lead/ Care Support Workers, in order to help provide a safe and enjoyable environment to Children with care needs who attend Saturday Club. Responsibilities and Duties To assist with Saturday Club duties as required e.g: • Help assist staff with preparing and serving lunch, drinks etc. • Help assist staff with supervising children using the arts and crafts table, computer area and ball games etc. • Help assist staff with setting up activities at the beginning of the club. • Help assist staff with clearing away activities at the end of the day. • Supervising Children taking part in the Karate and Football sessions. • Ensuring that any safeguarding concerns, negative behaviour or health and safety concerns are reported to Saturday Club Lead. Supervision Willing to receive supervision and guidance where necessary. To attend regular group or 1:1 supervision meetings as arranged. Training To attend an induction session at Crossroads Care and ongoing training as relevant. DBS Check An Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check is required for this volunteering opportunity.
