* Run a small regular, free, mixed abilities ESOL class for adults or Children · Develop a popular group with regular attendance. · To develop appropriate lesson plans with engaging activities · To gather information on stock gaps or suggested book requests that may be useful for the class. · Recognise the needs of attendees and feed back information, suggestions and requests to library staff. · Willingness to develop practice based on student feedback · Any other associated tasks that may arise from time to time to be agreed.

Friendly and approachable · A firm, regular commitment to classes and students · Fluency and command of the English language · The ability to communicate effectively with students. · A basic understanding of how the Library Service operates, either in general terms or in the candidate's personal experience. · Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work without close supervision. · Reliable, confident and responsible individual, with enthusiasm and effective interpersonal skills. · The ability to cope with the duties and responsibilities of the post and the associated environment, including an understanding of health & safety. · Some teaching experience or knowledge of teaching in theory desirable. Willingness to develop skills essential.
