Community Support Volunteer
Care Leaders Group CIC
Community Support Volunteers support older adults, people with disabilities, learning disabilities and autism to take part in activities, socialise and feel connected.
Our Community Support Volunteers play a key role in creating a warm, safe and inclusive environment within our community groups and CONNECT day center. Volunteers support older adults, people with disabilities, learning disabilities and autism to take part in activities, socialise and feel connected. Duties include welcoming service users, offering friendly conversation, assisting with activities such as arts and crafts, chair exercises, cooking sessions and sensory room engagement; providing gentle encouragement to help individuals participate at their own pace. Volunteers may also help set up the room, prepare materials, support group discussions and promote positive social interaction. This role is ideal for someone patient, compassionate and reliable, with an interest in improving well-being and reducing loneliness. Full guidance and support are provided, and volunteers will always work under staff supervision. Your time helps create meaningful change for vulnerable people in our community.
