Warehouse Team Lead

Spring Community Hub

Making sure people have a regular supply of healthy food, so they can focus on other activities.

Detailed Description

Support the smooth running of a small, local charity that aims to tackle food poverty by addressing the underlying causes of food inequality. This will ensure our Warehouse runs effectively, so food parcels are prepared and delivered to guests on time, and that volunteers are well-supported and fulfilled in their role. Our Food Bank operates Monday to Friday for people across Southwark.

Why these skills are required

Food bank session leads -Experience in customer service or dealing with a diverse range of people. -Good listening skills, ability to communicate well with confidence and when handing enquiries. -Awareness of the Welfare system and circumstances that may bring people to our service. -A DBS check will be required

Time Commitment

Our Food Bank operates Monday to Friday for people across Southwark. Able to commit to 4 hours or more weekly We run four sessions across four centres weekly: Tuesdays: New Covenant Church, 506-510 Old Kent Road, SE1 5BA 11.30 to 2pm Wednesdays: St. Paul’s Church, 4 Lorrimore Square, SE17 3QU 11:30am-1:30pm Thursdays: Spring Community Hub, 161 Benhill Road, Camberwell, London, SE5 7LL 9.15am to 1.30pm) Fridays: Spring Community Hub, 86- 88 Vestry Road , Camberwell, London, SE5 8PQ 9.45am to 1.30pm
