Intergenerational Session volunteer
Brighter Together
Helping out in sessions in care homes, engaging older people and nursery school children in creative, fun and stimulating activities.
This role involves lending a hand in our intergenerational sessions. We provide fun, creative and stimulating sessions bringing nursery school children into care homes. Our work lessens social isolation for older people and provides a boost to the confidence and social skills for small children. This role is assisting the Session Facilitator to help the children and the adults make connections - it can involve helping with crafts, games and sensory activities

This is a heartwarming role, watching (and enabling) magic connections across the generations. This volunteer role is part of changing someone's day/week or month for the better.
