We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to help us provide excellent customer service and warm welcome to our museum galleries and to help bring our upcoming exhibition to life. No pervious experience necessary, just an interest in the unique story of Croydon.
We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to help us provide excellent customer service and warm welcome to our museum galleries and to help bring our upcoming exhibition to life. No previous experience necessary, just an interest in the unique story of Croydon. -Welcome visitors to the Museum of Croydon and contributing towards creating a friendly and accessible environment for all visitors, including school groups, families and young people. -Providing guidance and insight to visitors on their journey through the exhibition, signposting them to other areas interest in the Museum, Archive, library and wider cultural events. -Working closely with supporting the Museum team to protect our collection and facilitate a professional reception area. -Promoting the Museum's services, galleries and events to visitors as required. -Working with other volunteers to support the service.

-Welcoming and friendly person who enjoys meeting new people. -Have effective communication skills with the ability to listen and engage with a variety of people -Have an interest in local social history and /or working with the public.
-Join a friendly and growing team and have the opportunity to make new friends -Develop your confidence and public-facing skills -Learn more about the history of Croydon -Gain practical and valuable experience working in the heritage sector
Ideally you would be able to commit to a minimum of 4 hours a week, either 9:45am - 1pm or 1pm-4:30pm on a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday for a minimum of three months.
