Visitor Engagement Volunteer: Dinosaur Easter Egg Hunt

MAIN TASKS: Welcoming visitors, handing out maps, giving answers to questions. Checking answer sheets and distributing prizes. Helping to ensure that the event is being run safely – (flagging any concerns to Crystal Palace Park Trust staff - in blue Hi Vis vests - staff contact numbers will be provided).

Detailed Description

A fun family day out at the Dinosaur Easter Egg Hunt: Families at the event will collect a map and take it around the Dinosaur lake. They will be looking for eggs with questions on them. You will be stationed in pairs near each egg to help with answers. Once they have a full set of answers, they can head back to claim their prize.

With a friendly and welcoming approach top park visitors, you will help families with answers to questions which we will provide you with.

What is in it for you

You will support local people, gain new skills or just have fun helping to ensure our events are friendly and welcoming for our communities. Once you have completed a Volunteer Introduction Training you can register with us to be invited to a large number of volunteering opportunities. We offer up to £15 expenses for travel (with a receipt)

Time Commitment

We hope volunteers supporting this event can attend the Visitor Engagement Volunteer Training: Dinosaurs 2 hours 14th April 6 to 8pm at Crystal Palace Park Trust offices 3 hours 15 min on 19th April 10:45am to 2pm at Crystal Palace Park Dinosaur Lake

Crystal Place Park Dinosaur Lake on 19th April. (Also a 2 hour training the Monday before on 14th April 6pm to 8pm at Crystal Palace Park Trust offices)

By train to Penge East or Penge West stations and a 15 min walk to Penge Gate entrance of Crystal Palace Park. Or a 10 minute walk from Crystal Palace station to Brown and Green Cafe inside the park where you will be greeted by our volunteer officer. Buses 197 to Thicket Road (Stop P), 157 Thicket Road (Stop K) and 75 to Penge East Station (Stop Q)
