We are looking for someone with a couple of hours to spare a week who will come and chat to our customers in the Community Cafe in the New Horizon Centre once a week. We will provide training in Mental Health First Aid (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFRCdgXGlig) and Advice First Aid (https://londoncitizensadvice.org.uk/projects-partnerships/new-afa-materials) to enable you to feel confident about helping people take their first steps towards resilience and self-care. You will see two or three people during the session and much of the time will be spent chatting not just advising - it is as much about creating a friendly, welcoming atmosphere as it is about 'helping'.
