Join Real’s Fundraising and Events team to help raise vital funds and awareness for our work supporting disabled people in Tower Hamlets. What You’ll Do: • Support and planning events such as the London Marathon, Royal Parks Half Marathon, and 10Ks. • Support with participation fundraising events or challenge event programmes. • Support with marketing and supporter engagement initiatives (e.g. University/College bake sales, community events, social campaigns) • Research potential grants and funders that align with Real’s mission. • Support the drafting and editing of funding proposals. • Help prepare funder reports and communication updates. • Assist with fundraising campaigns and donor engagement activities. Ideal For: Students studying fundraising, non-profit management, English, or public relations. Also great for detail-oriented individuals who love writing and research. You’ll Develop: • Skills in bid writing and impact reporting • An understanding of the charitable funding landscape • A portfolio of writing samples (credited where appropriate)

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Essential: At least 3-6 months related study or work. Knowledge of fundraising or customer services in England and Wales. IT literate and well versed with Microsoft Office and Windows. Desired: Experience of graphic design platform Canva. Experience in setup, planning, and running of events (online and in-person). Experience in the voluntary sector and office environment. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate with a wide range of people and to liaise with other organisations. Ability to summarise cases into plain English and create case studies. Ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines. Ability to work on own initiative. Ability to work in a busy environment with competing demands. Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, internet and email. Ability to maintain existing computer-based and manual systems.
