Community Collection Pot Volunteer
London's Air Ambulance
London’s Air Ambulance Community Collection Pot Volunteers help us to raise vital funds for London’s only local air ambulance and helping provide critical care for the people who desperately need us. This role involves travelling to locations to collect and replace full collection pots, building relationships with local businesses and supporters, and promoting the charity.
We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support the work of London’s Air Ambulance Charity in the community. Our collection pots raise thousands of pounds each year and we require the support of our volunteers to help us maintain relationships with current supporters and develop new ones. By volunteering, you’ll be helping us to raise vital funds for London’s only local air ambulance and helping provide critical care for the people who desperately need us. WHAT DOES THIS ROLE INVOLVE? • Travelling to locations to collect and replace full collection pots • Liaising with a member of the Community Fundraising Team about pots in your chosen area • Building and maintaining relationships with local businesses and supporters to increase our fundraising and awareness across London • Promoting London’s Air Ambulance Charity throughout London • Investigating new locations for charity collection pots. WHAT TRAINING AND SUPPORT WILL I BE GIVEN? As a London’s Air Ambulance Charity volunteer, you’ll receive a full induction and training to support you in your role. You’ll also be supported by the Community Engagement team and will be able to claim expenses for travel across London, in line with our volunteer expenses policy. We’re a unique team of expert doctors, paramedics and pilots who are dedicated to providing London with world-class medical care when a life is on the line. Traumatic injury is the biggest killer of those under 45 in London and every day six people in the city are so critically injured they need the complex procedures only we can provide. Thanks to your time and support, on the worst day of someone’s life, our medics can provide hope for the patient and their loved ones. Our volunteers are key to supporting our fundraising efforts, helping us increase our reach across the communities of London. From taking part in bucket collections, placing collection pots in local businesses, speaking to community groups, volunteering in our shop and our office and much, much more, there are a variety of ways to get involved.
