Volunteer Activity Facilitator, Marie Lloyd Centre

Age UK are looking for Volunteer Activity Facilitators to help at the Marie Lloyd Centre in E8. You could facilitate group activities for older people such as board games, quizzes, gentle exercise, knitting, walking, gardening and more. Help make a meaningful difference to older people in our community.

Detailed Description

Age UK East London supports older people. Our vision is for East London to be a place where everyone can age well and no one is invisible. We are looking for Volunteer Activity Facilitators to help at the Marie Lloyd Centre in E8. You could facilitate group activities for older people such as board games, quizzes, gentle exercise, knitting, walking, gardening and more. You will: • Lead and facilitate inclusive activity groups, based on your skills and interests. • Create a welcoming and positive environment for all participants. • Support participants during activities to ensure everyone feels included and valued. • Foster social connections and promote community well-being through meaningful experiences. • Keep the activity space organised, safe, and ready for use. • Collaborate with staff and other volunteers to improve activities and share ideas.

Time Commitment

• Once your DBS check has been completed, we ask for a minimum of 6 months' commitment, but would ideally prefer more of a longer term commitment. We have opportunities to volunteer during weekdays a few hours between 9.30am and 5:30pm.
