We are looking for Teaching Assistants to help with supervising and facilitating classes in Thai Boxing, both SEND and general children's classes. You do NOT need to have experience or training in Thai Boxing, as an instructor will be in charge of the class. You will support students by holding pads, correcting posture, form, and movements to ensure safety and effectiveness. Full training provided.
The Thai Boxing Fighters Academy has been supporting the community in Tower Hamlets since 2013. This is a unique Academy combining the art of Muay Thai Boxing with confidential support and encouragement to help people experiencing social, well-being and fitness problems. Training children and young people in a martial art can be beneficial for many reasons. Confidence, self-discipline, respect, learning nonviolent ways to resolve conflict, being aware, being a leader, boosting social skills and promoting an all-round fit and healthy lifestyle are just some of the many reasons. At The Thai Boxing Fighters Academy we run classes for children starting at 5 years through to 17 years. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to help with supervising and facilitating children towards correct exercises and Martial Arts postures. You will be working along side other teaching assistants, working with SEND children also general children classes. You do NOT need to have experience or training in Thai Boxing, as you will work alongside the Instructor who is in charge of the class. You role is to assist the coach and students while maintaining a positive and safe training environment. You will support the students by holding pads, correcting posture, form, and movements to ensure safety and effectiveness. You will be given full training and a qualified instructor will always be present. You will also help with setting up before the class and clearing up afterwards.

You do NOT need to be experienced in Thai Boxing, but you will be willing to learn. Good punctuality, consistency, commitment, understanding nature, professional approach, awareness of basic health safety requirements, good observation skills and assessment of needs of children to develop their skills base. Must be encouraging, supportive but assertive.
Free Muay Thai Boxing lessons 2 times a week, travel expenses paid, free team kit and boxing gloves. Evolve and develop various skills, confidence, educational learning on various social care aspects and Martial Arts, Have your own martial arts skills assessed by a world Muay Thai Boxing champion/Grading Examiner. Opportunity to join management, if you are interested. Working has part of a collective team, many other career/work related opportunities and developing variety off skills and abilities. If you are interested, there is long term potential to become a certified Muay Thai instructor and run your own Academy in conjunction with us (subject to conditions on professional development).
Classes are held: Monday 4.30pm To 6.30pm, Tuesday 4.30pm to 6.30pm, Friday 4.30pm to 6.30pm. Tuesday and Friday needs to completed by same person. Monday needs to be completed by same person.
