Could you help coordinate a team of volunteers at Greenwich and Docklands International Festival this summer? We are looking for confident people, and those with previous leadership experience, to instill confidence and help guide people who may be volunteering for the first time, as well as provide essential communication with festival staff. Team Leaders will be chosen before the festival and given additional training. The festival runs from 22 August to 6 September 2025. Apply by 4 August.
Greenwich + Docklands International Festival (GDIF) is London's leading festival of free outdoor theatre and performing arts. Artists from around the globe use the outdoors to offer a glimpse of collective possibility. GDIF would love for you to join them in this mission! The festival runs from Friday 22 August to Saturday 6 September 2025. We need enthusiastic volunteers to play a role in delivering London’s biggest free festival of arts. Could you help coordinate a team of volunteers? Team Leaders will be chosen before the festival and given additional training. You will need to be aged 18 and over, have an interest in the arts, and be keen to represent GDIF this Summer! The role is open to anyone who is • aged 18 or over • friendly and reliable, with an interest in arts • can give 15 hours of their time (3 or more 4 hour shifts plus training), or want to commit to more! • You will ideally have some previous experience in a leadership role and confidence managing a team of people. • You should be able to take direction from the GDIF staff team • GDIF prides itself on its accessibility, and we expect all volunteers to promote and take an active role in ensuring access for all audience members and volunteers during the event. • You are able to work as part of a team.
• Connect with the local community and make new friends in the local area • Build communication skills • Work alongside like minded people interested in the arts and meet new people in the industry • Gain experience and a reference for your CV • Role-specific training • A ‘Thank You’ party during the festival
You should be able to give 15 hours of your time (3 shifts of 4 hours plus training) or want to commit more. This is over the course of the days of the festival between 22 August and 6 September 2025. There are a variety of shift days and times to suit volunteers’ different schedules.
