You will be supporting a small, dedicated team—Enabling Community Health Outcomes—who are passionate about making a meaningful impact in the community. Our team is driven by a shared vision to improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people, and we believe every contribution matters. If you’re looking to contribute to something that truly matters, this role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a team that reflects its values in everything we do. We’re looking for volunteers who: • Are aged 13-19, or up to 25 if you have a special educational need or disability. • Can commit to either daytime or early evening hours (Monday to Friday) or Saturdays. • Hold or are willing to complete a DBS check. We are especially keen to engage Tower Hamlets residents in our services volunteering opportunities—from the community, for the community. We believe that young people are the experts in their own health. The "You're Welcome" accreditation ensures that health & care services and spaces are young person-friendly, accessible, and tailored to their needs. It focuses on creating supportive environments where young people feel respected, confident, and safe when accessing health & care services, and are encouraged to seek care. As a You’re Welcome Assessor, activities will include: • Visiting health, care and youth spaces as a mystery shopper • Assessing health, care and youth spaces against the accreditation • Feeding back to the You're Welcome coordinator • Attending quarterly panel meetings • Maintaining confidentiality • Representing the service in a positive and professional way • Following health & safety and safeguarding procedures

Why these skills are required

We’re looking for volunteers who: • Are aged 13-19, or up to 25 if you have a special educational need or disability. • Can commit to either daytime or early evening hours (Monday to Friday) or Saturdays. • Hold or are willing to complete a DBS check (ages 16+ only). The skills you need • Reliable, punctual and trustworthy. • Approachable and welcoming. • Passion, enthusiasm, compassion, understanding and having an open minded approach. • The ability to work independently and use their own initiative, as well as working as part of a team. • Having some knowledge with Community Development or working in communities would be useful, but not essential.
