Digital Marketing Assistant – Volunteer Role Description Overview: SME Local CIC is seeking a passionate and creative individual to join our team as a Digital Marketing Assistant. This volunteer role is ideal for someone looking to develop their digital marketing skills while contributing to a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to empowering local businesses, charities, and communities. Key Responsibilities: Assist in managing social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter), including scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and monitoring performance. Create content for social media, blogs, and email campaigns, including graphics, written posts, and videos. Support the development and execution of digital marketing strategies to promote our services and initiatives, such as the Digital Discovery Zone. Help analyse data from digital marketing campaigns and provide insights for improvement. Assist with SEO optimisation, keyword research, and website updates. Collaborate with the wider team to ensure brand consistency across all digital platforms. Skills & Experience: Basic understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Canva, Mailchimp). Strong communication and writing skills. Creativity and a keen eye for detail in content creation. Enthusiasm for learning new digital marketing skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
