Our weekly activities are at the heart of our community at Age UK Croydon. Our knitting group is a popular group with over 25 members. Assisting with setting up the venue (chairs/tables/equipment). Welcoming group members and introducing new members to the team. Preparing refreshments. Talking to group members and helping where necessary. Informing the group of basic health and safety information, eg location of toilets and fire exits

Approachable. Reliable. Helpful. Good listening and communication skills. You do not need to be able to knit, however, an interest in knitting may be beneficial.
Sharing the skills you have. Meeting others, having fun, and getting a sense of fulfilment. You will make a difference in the lives of older people who live in your local community.
3 hours per week. Tuesday 10.30 am - 1.30 pm.
