As an Events and Fundraising Volunteer, you will be supporting a range of events that Centrepoint holds. These will include fundraising events like Sleep Out. You will also taking part in Cheer Points at events such as the Hackney Half Marathon, London Marathon and London Landmarks Half Marathon.
Centrepoint is the UK's leading youth homelessness charity. Alongside partners, we support almost 14,000 young people every year. As an Events and Fundraising Volunteer, you will be supporting a range of events that Centrepoint holds. These will include fundraising events like Sleep Out. You will also taking part in Cheer Points at events such as the Hackney Half Marathon, London Marathon and London Landmarks Half Marathon.

Good IT Skills
- Ability to communicate confidently and clearly with young people, other volunteers and staff - Ability to remain calm when involved with challenging individuals and situations - Understanding of the issues – practical and emotional – facing young people - Understanding of the importance of teamwork and a strong commitment to being part of a team - Ability to develop a rapport with young people - Good communication skills, written and oral-good telephone manner - Excellent IT skills and able to use Microsoft Office - A commitment to demonstrating Centrepoint’s values - A commitment to complete the necessary volunteer training sessions
- Structured induction and training - Ongoing support and supervision from the Volunteering Team - Ongoing support and supervision from supervisor - Access to further training - Travel and other reasonable expenses reimbursed - A reference.
We are looking for a commitment of about 5 hours per week within the hours of 9am-5pm, but this is flexible subject to your availability.

Centrepoint's office is at The Rowe, 59-63 Whitechapel High St, London However, the location of this role is dependent on where the event is taking place.
Our office is next to Aldgate East underground station
