Join our team to provide one to one mentoring support to young people accessing our service for the first time! In this rewarding role you will support young people to engage in the wide range of activities we have on offer. Volunteer Youth Mentors at Legacy provide guidance, support, and encouragement to young people, helping them to develop their skills, build confidence, and reach their full potential. This role involves being a positive role model and establishing a trusting and respectful relationship with mentees.

IT Skills - Basic, Verbal Communication, Organising & Planning, Time Management
Prior experience working with young people (preferred but not essential). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Compassionate, patient, and a good listener. Committed to supporting young people in their personal and educational development. Ability to maintain confidentiality and set appropriate boundaries.
All volunteers will receive training on youth development, safeguarding, and effective mentoring techniques. Ongoing support and supervision will be provided by the Volunteer manager Benefits: Opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of young people. Once a for up to 4 hours, plus additional volunteering hours for training and induction, and check in sessions.
