Kitchen Volunteers at Providence Row assist in the kitchen alongside our chefs. You will help by preparing hot food, chopping vegetables, cooking, then serving our clients during breakfast or lunch services. You will be friendly and approachable and happy to greet and engage with our guests, who are homeless or vulnerably housed. Volunteers can gain a Level 2 Food Safety qualification. Ideally, you will volunteer for one shift (or more) each week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Kitchen Volunteers assist in the kitchen alongside our chefs. This role will include helping to prepare hot food, chopping vegetables, cooking. etc. You will then serve our clients during breakfast or lunch service, taking the time to greet and engage with them. You will be friendly and approachable and be happy to talk with our guests, who are homeless or vulnerably housed. Some have mental/physical health or substance misuse issues. Volunteers can gain a Level 2 Food Safety qualification. Ideally, you will volunteer for one morning shift (or more) each week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. We can be flexible with the hours. A Basic level DBS Check will be conducted for all volunteers. This is a fantastic role for anyone keen to use or develop catering skills and/or to support homeless people.

- You will need good communication skills & team work - We are looking for enthusiastic, supportive and committed volunteers - Ability to work with clients who have varying support needs and challenging behaviours.
- Be a part of the community - Gain a Level 2 Food Safety qualification - Gain catering skills - Make a difference to our clients (homeless people).
Ideally, you will volunteer on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday morning.
