As a Volunteer One-off Events Assistant, you will be part of the HARCA Community Development team and have the opportunity to experience first-hand what goes into managing and running an event. Dates: Monday - Sunday Time: Flexible Location: Various Details vary depending on the nature of the event. Your role may include: • Supporting set up and close of the event • Facilitating activities on the day • Working with residents and other professionals • Welcoming, meeting and talking to people of all ages and backgrounds • Managing stations of activities • Tasks will vary widely on the day but will include everything from administration, managing crowds, health & safety checks and hands-on-help to set up and take down events. • Assist in ensuring events are run smoothly and clients have everything they need • Fulfilling any other duties considered reasonable as directed by the staff team • All volunteers are required to contribute positively to providing a safe, creative, inspiring and fun environment to meet the need of those attending a HARCA event

To be confident interacting with everyone and enjoy being part of a community event. This role would suit someone who is happy to get stuck in and learn as they go. Please note that this is a hands on role which will require you to move around the event with occasional lifting.

These events are one-off, so a commitment of anything between 1 and 8 hours.
