Easter Camp Volunteer (14-17 April)

Independent You CIC is looking for volunteers to help us with an Easter Camp for children and young people aged 6-17 years old with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The camp will run for four days, from Mon 14 April to Thur 17 April 2025. Volunteers are asked to be on site from 9am to 3pm each day. You will be helping to run activities for the young people, including arts and crafts, games and messy play. You will work as part of a team and also on a 1-1 basis if needed.

Detailed Description

Independent You CIC is looking for volunteers to join our community. Could one of them be you? Our mission is to empower and upskill children and young adults with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to be ‘World and Work Ready’ with life skills, travel training, social skills, personal shopping, sports & recreational provisions and ready to work CV building (plus more). We are looking for 8-10 volunteers to help us with our Easter Camp for children and young people aged 6-17 years old with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The camp will run for four days, from Monday 14 April to Thursday 17 April 2025. The club runs from 10am to 2pm. Volunteers are asked to be there from 9am to 3pm, to help with setting up and clearing up at the end of each day. You will be helping to run activities for the young people, including arts and crafts, games and messy play. You will work as part of the team and also on a 1-1 basis with the young people if and when needed. Apply before 10 April 2025!

Time Commitment

Our Easter Camp will run from 10AM-2PM, Monday 14 to Thursday 17 April 2025. Volunteers are asked to be on site from 9am to 3pm each day. Ideally you will volunteer on all four days days, as our service users benefit from seeing familiar faces and having consistency.
