This flexible role offers 2-5 hours per week, working alongside a supportive team. You’ll advertise vacancies, attend recruitment fairs, set up interviews, and assist with training and admin. If you live in Tower Hamlets and are a ‘people person’ who loves to meet a wide range of people, then volunteering as a Read Easy Volunteer Recruiter will give you a really interesting opportunity to help manage the recruitment and interviewing of volunteers for the group. You’ll need to be enthusiastic, a good listener and be able to spot a strong volunteer when you see one. By recruiting the right sort of volunteers to join the group, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the longevity of the group. This is a highly flexible role - you will be working with two other recruiters and can choose the number of hours you can spare per week from 2 up to 5. Within this role you will: advertise vacancies on websites and social media, attend volunteer recruitment fairs, set up interviews, obtaining references and support induction, booking training where appropriate and assist with general administration. You will also be required to attend monthly/regular Management Team meetings.

The ideal candidate will have experience interviewing and be able to work to safer recruitment guidelines. They must demonstrate discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information. Strong communication and people skills are essential, as is the ability to engage with a diverse range of individuals.
