Smart Works
Work as part of a team with other dressing volunteers to make clients at Smart Works feel welcomed and comfortable during their dressing consultation. Use the power of clothing to uplift clients by curating rails of clothing with other dressing volunteers, catered to clients’ requests and sizing. Occasionally support the Wardrobe Team by sorting retail donations for our client wardrobe and fashion sales. Maintain a high standard of the rails in the wardrobe by tidying and sorting them at the end
We are a women’s unemployment charity where we dress and coach unemployed women ahead of job interviews. We have three locations across London and one of them is in Croydon. We have an open evening coming up at the end of May as we are recruiting for wardrobe and dressing volunteers. Volunteers can attend to a wide range of exclusive events including VIP preview evenings for pop-up fashion sales, volunteer socials and access to our monthly volunteer forums and training. You will become part of the supportive and buzzing Smart Works community, consisting of 40 staff and over 300 volunteers across our three London centres. This opportunity would be perfect for anyone who has a great eye for style and wants to make a difference through using fashion as a force for good.

Good attention to detail. Great listening skills and the ability to empathise with individuals from a variety of backgrounds. Strong organisational skills. The ability to work well as a part of a team from a range different backgrounds and experiences. An awareness of fashion brands (desirable but not essential). A passion for the Smart Works mission and using fashion as a force for good.
