Share the beauty of the Arabic language by becoming an Online Volunteer Teacher. Help children and adults connect with their heritage and open new doors of opportunity. CAPA are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to teach Arabic language online to children and adults. Your role will involve helping learners develop their reading, writing, and speaking skills in Arabic, fostering a connection with this globally significant language. Responsibilities ● Prepare and deliver Arabic lessons tailored to learners’ ages and skill levels. ● Use engaging teaching methods to build learners’ confidence in Arabic communication. ● Foster an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages participation. ● Monitor and report on learner progress. Lesson schedule: 1. Children (Level 1): Wednesdays, 6:00PM-7:00PM 2. Children (Level 2): Wednesdays, 7:10PM-8:10PM 3. Adults (Level 1): Sundays, 6:00PM-7:00PM 4. Adults (Level 2): Sundays, 7:10PM-8:10PM You must be proficient in Arabic (spoken and written). Previous teaching experience is preferred but not essential. You will use lesson plans from the Oak website (www.thenational.academy) and other online sources, and will also receive support from our Director. Class sizes are between 1 and 3 people.

Time Commitment

Ideally you will teach two or more lessons regularly every week. Each lesson is for one hour, plus some preparation time. Lesson schedule: 1. Children (Level 1): Wednesdays, 6:00PM-7:00PM 2. Children (Level 2): Wednesdays, 7:10PM-8:10PM 3. Adults (Level 1): Sundays, 6:00PM-7:00PM 4. Adults (Level 2): Sundays, 7:10PM-8:10PM We also need some volunteers to be in our 'volunteer bank' who could be available to teach a lesson at fairly short notice if the regular volunteer is unavailable.
