Online Volunteer Teacher: Teaching Maths

We seek dedicated volunteers to teach Maths online to children across Key Stages 2, 3, and 4. You will help learners build confidence in numeracy and develop problem-solving skills essential for academic success. The lessons take place on Monday evenings and Saturday mornings/early afternoons.

Help learners unlock their potential by joining CAPA as an Online Volunteer Teacher in Maths. Your guidance could inspire future engineers, scientists, and problem solvers! We seek dedicated volunteers to teach Maths online to children across Key Stages 2, 3, and 4. You will help learners build confidence in numeracy and develop problem-solving skills essential for academic success. Responsibilities ● Deliver interactive online Maths lessons tailored to learners’ needs. ● Support learners in understanding key mathematical concepts and solving problems. ● Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback. Lesson schedule: 1. Year 5 (Key Stage 2): Monday, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM 2. Year 6 (Key Stage 2): Monday, 7:10 PM - 8:10 PM 3. Year 7, 8, and 9 (Key Stage 3): Saturday, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM 4. Year 10 and 11 (Key Stage 4): Saturday, 12:10 PM - 1:10 PM You will use lesson plans from the Oak website (www.thenational.academy) and other online sources, and will also receive support from our Director. Class sizes between 1 and 3 people.

Time Commitment

Ideally you will teach two or more lessons regularly every week. Each lesson is for one hour, plus some preparation time. Lesson schedule: 1. Year 5 (Key Stage 2): Monday, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM 2. Year 6 (Key Stage 2): Monday, 7:10 PM - 8:10 PM 3. Year 7, 8, and 9 (Key Stage 3): Saturday, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM 4. Year 10 and 11 (Key Stage 4): Saturday, 12:10 PM - 1:10 PM We also need some volunteers to be in our 'volunteer bank' who could be available to teach a lesson at fairly short notice if the regular volunteer is unable to do it.
