Help learners develop critical technology skills by becoming an Online Volunteer Teacher in Computer Science. Inspire the next generation of digital creators and problem solvers! We are seeking dedicated individuals to teach Computer Science online to children. You will introduce learners to computational thinking, algorithms, and programming concepts, preparing them for a technology-driven world. Responsibilities ● Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons. ● Teach foundational concepts such as algorithms, data structures, and programming. ● Foster problem-solving and logical thinking skills. ● Support learners in creating and completing digital projects. Lesson schedule: 1. Year 7, 8 and 9 (Key Stage 3): Saturday, 1:20 PM -2:20 PM 2. Year 10 and 11 (Key Stage 4): Sunday, 1:20 PM - 2:20 PM You will use lesson plans from the Oak website (www.thenational.academy) and other online sources, and will also receive support from our Director. Class sizes between 1 and 3 people.

Time Commitment

Ideally you will teach the two lesson regularly every week. Each lesson is for 1 hour, plus some preparation time. Lesson schedule: 1. Year 7, 8 and 9 (Key Stage 3): Saturday, 1:20 PM -2:20 PM 2. Year 10 and 11 (Key Stage 4): Sunday, 1:20 PM - 2:20 PM We also need some volunteers to be in our 'volunteer bank' who could be available to teach a lesson at fairly short notice if the regular volunteer is unable to do it.
