Join CAPA as an Online Volunteer Teacher to teach Coding Skills to children. Empower the next generation of digital creators by helping them unlock the world of programming and problem-solving. The lessons take place on Tuesday evenings, 6pm-7pm. You will need knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scratch Your sessions will be on lesson plans provided, and will be for small groups of up to 3 children.

Detailed Description

Join CAPA as an Online Volunteer Teacher to teach Coding Skills to children. Empower the next generation of digital creators by helping them unlock the world of programming and problem-solving. We are seeking passionate volunteers to teach Coding Skills to children online. Your lessons will introduce learners to programming fundamentals and inspire creativity and problem-solving. Responsibilities ● Plan and deliver engaging coding lessons tailored to beginners. ● Teach concepts such as algorithms, programming logic, and basic coding languages. ● Support learners in creating simple coding projects. Lesson schedule: ● Children: Tuesday evenings, 6PM-7PM You will use lesson plans from the Oak website (www.thenational.academy) and other online sources, and will also receive support from our Director. Class sizes are between 1 and 3 children.

Time Commitment

Ideally you will teach the lesson regularly every week. Each lesson is for 1 hour, plus some preparation time. The lessons are on Tuesday evenings, 6PM-7PM We also need some volunteers to be in our 'volunteer bank' who could be available to teach a class at fairly short notice if the regular volunteer is unable to do it.
