As a Read Easy Coordinator you will be responsible for meeting and enrolling local adults who want to learn to read, as well as interviewing volunteer Reading Coaches with a member of the Management Team. You will then pair up new readers with volunteer coaches and provide them with ongoing support and oversight throughout their reading journey. This is an important role so you must be able to spare around 6 hours a week, some of which will be during normal office opening times.
The Read Easy Tower Hamlets reading group Coordinators are central to the running of the reading programme. As a Coordinator, you will be responsible for meeting and enrolling adults who want to learn to read, as well as interviewing volunteer Reading Coaches with a member of the Management Team. You will then pair up new readers with volunteer coaches and provide them with ongoing support and oversight throughout their reading journey. This role is mainly home-based, but as there will be some requirement to meet new readers to explain how Read Easy Tower Hamlets reading group may be able to help them. You will also present certificates to the readers and organise graduation ceremonies, as appropriate. This is an important role so you must be able to spare around 6 hours a week, some of which will be during normal office opening times.
