Stifford Community Centre is looking for volunteers to support us with basic admin duties and provide reception cover, Monday to Saturday, between 9am and 6pm. Days and hours are flexible, depending on your availability.

Detailed Description

Stifford Community Centre is looking for volunteers to support us with basic admin duties and provide reception cover between Monday and Saturday, 9am to 6pm. Days and hours are flexible, depending on your availability. This role is open to anyone aged 16 and over. As a volunteer you will: • Help to provide a welcoming and professional reception service: greeting visitors, answering the telephone, dealing with enquires and booking appointments. • Ensure visitors are directed towards the correct activity area, member of staff, or activities tutor. • Help to ensure that visitors sign the Visitors Book where necessary • Carry out general office duties including data entry, filing, photocopying, faxing, mailing and maintaining adequate stocks of stationery. • Occasional word-processing of documents using Microsoft Word • To help with ad-hoc duties when Stifford Centre hosts special events. Volunteers can also support with administrative tasks in our Youth programmes and after school club activities. However, this is optional. If you wish to get involved, you will undergo a standard DBS check which will be paid for by the organisation. We also accept DBS certificates issued within the last 1 year by another organisation.

Time Commitment

You can volunteer any day between Monday and Saturday, between the hours of 9am and 6pm. Hours are flexible to suit the volunteer.
