An opportunity to befriend care home residents, in care homes across the Borough of Richmond.
This is a exciting initiative to befriend older people in care homes, who can feel just as lonely, if not more, than older people living in the community. We're looking for people to volunteer in care homes across the Borough - full training and support will be given. It's an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of some of the oldest and most vulnerable elderly in our society. Ideally we'd like you to be able to give an hour a week to this rewarding task.

You need to be reliable, have empathy and patience, be friendly and approachable and have the ability to listen and engage in conversation.
Develop your people skills. Have the satisfaction of improving the lives of some of the oldest and frailest people in our community
