Saturday One Off Volunteering

Spend a Saturday at our Wandsworth Warehouse baby bank, where you’ll help sort donations and pack essential baby items. Our one-off volunteering sessions are a brilliant way to get involved and see the impact of your support in just a few hours. Whether you come solo, with friends, or as a small team, you’ll help sort, pack, and prepare clothes, toys, and equipment for families who need them.

Detailed Description

Spend a Saturday at our Wandsworth Warehouse baby bank, where you’ll help sort donations and pack essential baby items. Our one-off volunteering sessions are a brilliant way to get involved and see the impact of your support in just a few hours. Whether you come solo, with friends, or as a small team, you’ll help sort, pack, and prepare clothes, toys, and equipment for families who need them. What will I be doing? - Get to know each child using details we provide to select items they’ll love - Create beautiful packages of clothes, toys and books with love and care - Check donated pre-loved items, so that they are all of gift quality - Organise checked items by gender, age, and type - Make smaller gift packs e.g., underwear, socks, bibs and linen - Safety check and clean buggies and cots, when needed - Greet and thank people arriving with donations of pre-loved items - Act in a non-judgmental, inclusive and loving way When can I volunteer? November, 10am-4pm - Saturday 7th - Saturday 14th - Saturday 21st - Saturday 28th December, 10am-4pm - Saturday 5th - Saturday 12th - Saturday 19th How do I join? We’ve made it super easy and flexible. You’re in control of your volunteering: pick your date, book yourself in, and even rearrange if plans change, all within our Volunteero app. Sign up: complete a quick registration form Download app: we’ll set up your account & send you login details shortly Book your shift: open the app, tap “available” to choose your site, then pick a date under “shifts”
