Food bank support and information coordination

Detailed Description

Assitance needed to manage the number of enquiries from people asking for help. You will be responding to emails and phone messages to make sure people in need know how to collect their food. You will make sure we have enough details eg. number of people in the family, food allergies or restrictions etc. This is a flexible role, once you feel confident you will be able to work independently. There will be regular times to 'check in' with the main co-ordinator and you will be able to join the Food Bank team on Saturdays to help with food distribution.

Why these skills are required

You must be able to organise your time in order to answer all queries so that people do not miss out on the food they need. You need to able to ask for help when needed and to organise your work. This work will be done mainly be email and telephone.

Our Food Bank is run by a strong, supportive volunteer team and your help will be very welcome. We provide fresh food for those in need. We get new referrals every week and we want to be able to respond to all enquiries quickly.
