Detailed Description

Beyond Sight Loss is a self-help group of people who are vision- impaired who meet regularly in Tower Hamlets. They need volunteers to guide visually-impaired and blind people on fun outings and activities, as well as help out with group meetings. Group meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month (1pm-4pm), where we share information and socialise. It’s a really casual, safe space where everyone is lovely. It would be amazing to have caring people volunteer for a few hours of their time to help vulnerable people (and themselves) enjoy their day. We also have between one and three group outings per month, usually on the last Thursday of each month (10am-4pm). Activities typically include: visits to museums, parks and places of interest, beach trips, theatre visits and more. We are also open to ideas for outings from volunteers and our members, so there are lots of new things to do. Volunteers are needed on the second and last Thursdays of the month at the times specified above. If you are able to give some additional one-off days for outings, even better!
