NJA Volunteer Project Ambassador
Norwood JunkAction
As a Project Ambassador you will be part of an exciting fast growing community project. You will advocate for our programme, raising awareness about our work and actively seeking opportunities to partner with other organisations to broaden our impact and expand the collaboration/artwork we will showcase at our Festival.
Our weekly litter-picking programme is designed to invite local residents to be active, meet like-minded people and deal with the litter in our streets and public spaces in a manageable and fun way. We run a monthly creative workshop to encourage our participants to engage creatively with everyday discarded materials that reflect their volunteering experience and ideas. We work with local organisations, schools and community hubs in Croydon. As part of Croydon’s London Borough of Culture programme NJA and local collaborators will produce The Norwood JunkAction Festival in September 2023, an ambitious new project celebrating local invention, community and art.
