All we ask is you have a love of reading, are able to make a weekly commitment, are comfortable in a school environment and are able to complete a DBS check.
You’ll be able to directly help children in your local community, using your skills to give something back by sharing a love of reading with the younger generation • The role can also improve your well-being, giving structure to your week and you’ll feel helpful and gain a new sense of purpose • If you’re developing your career, you’ll be able to gain and evidence new skills and get experience in the school environment • You’ll be joining our reading community with opportunities to connect with other volunteers and our team
Complete our initial training: 3 interactive group sessions, each no more than 2 hours long, plus a couple of self-directed tasks. Give at least one afternoon a week, during school term time.
